Following 26 years of working in Hospitality, Marketing and Tourism, and six years working for Tourism Western Australia, company Director Louise Frend established Frend Consulting, combining her own skills and the amazing talent she has worked alongside over her time in New Zealand. Louise and her partner Jeff bought Unique Stays and experiences in January 2017, thereby fulfilling a dream of managing a suite of luxury and boutique accommodation and bespoke tourism experiences.
During her extensive career in the tourism industry she has developed enviable experience in Tourism Destination Marketing, product development and campaign management.
Louise worked in her youth in hospitality all around the world, quickly gaining experience and attaining management roles whilst living in Western Australia. Based in Broome, she travelled Australia extensively promoting the Kimberley and Luxury Coastal Cruises, and studied at Notre Dame university. Whilst spending a year living and working in Fiji as Marketing Manager for a resort, she met her partner Jeff and moved to New Zealand in 2005.
Louise has provided a range of Sales Management, and Tourism Services for various clients, and has a wide and significant set of skills and a broad and influential network, and enjoys excellent relationships in the Industry. Ali Hampton joined Unique Stays & Experiences in February 2012, following over eighteen years in the UK Travel Industry, solely focusing on the Australasian region. Her past roles have included Australasian Sales Manager for Hayes & Jarvis, one of the UK’s specialist Long Haul Tour Operators Ali was most recently the New Zealand & South Pacific Product Manager for Austravel, the leading Australasian Wholesaler owned by TUI UK.
Her primary role was to source new products and develop a comprehensive 180+ page brochure for both the direct consumer and high street travel agent, Thomson Holidays. In addition a key part of the role was to negotiate marketing activity, tourism campaigns and building strong relationships with industry partners.
Her vast experience, key relationships and knowledge of the Wholesalers based in Europe is invaluable to ensure your product is pitched to the highest standard. Being based in the UK Ali ensures our European,Scandinavian and North America industry partners have an on hand “real time” support service whereby they do not have to wait for an overnight reply from NZ. In addition Ali is available to attend European based travel and consumer shows.
